Estrella Polar, the dead return.

In 1982 a massacre at a local Church in Estrella Polar left 82 people dead. They where found in a nearby swamp and where exhumed in 2006.

A six hour drive from the capital, Guatemala City, we arrived at Nebaj in the western department of Quiché. In the town hall laid 82 coffins with the dead of a massacre from 1982 in Estrella Polar, most of them had been identified by the Guatemalan Forensic Anthropology Foundation.
